Supported Independent Living

Supported Independent Living (SIL) is an NDIS service designed to help you live as independently as possible, whether in your own home or a shared home with others, while developing skills and achieving your personal goals.

At Ardor Care, we focus on creating supportive living environments by matching people with similar interests, personalities, and aspirations. SIL gives you the chance to enjoy independence, make new friends, and access the assistance you need—while keeping you in control of your choices.

Our team can provide round-the-clock support for everyday tasks, including personal care, household chores, shopping, meal preparation, and clinical needs such as medication management. We also offer support and transport to appointments and social events to help you stay active and connected in your community.

We’d love to discuss how Supported Independent Living can help you live life your way. There are no restrictions on eligibility for engaging Ardor Care for personal support services.

All SIL services are charged according to the NDIS pricing schedule, tailored to the supports you require. We work with you to create an individualised plan that meets your unique needs and goals.

In-home support

Having a clean and safe home is essential for happy, healthy living. At Ardor Care, our experienced Support Workers can assist you with daily chores and household tasks, helping to ensure your home remains a safe and comfortable place to live.

We provide encouragement and hands-on assistance to help you maintain as much independence as possible. Our support includes:

  • Cleaning jobs around your home
  • Washing dishes
  • Laundry and essential ironing
  • Grocery shopping
  • Planning and preparing healthy, delicious meals
  • General home maintenance
  • Teaching simple cleaning skills
  • Supervision for household tasks

Individualised Living Option

Individualised Living Options (ILOs) provide an alternative, tailored approach that is designed around each person’s needs and goals.

Many people with disability need support to live independently in the community but may prefer not to live in a group home.

Ardor Care can assist you in planning your Individualised Living Options (ILOs). It’s important to note that ILOs are about support—they do not cover the cost of housing, such as rent. Here are some examples of how an ILO can work:

  • Shared Home with a Supportive Housemate: A person with disability can share their home with a supportive housemate, who provides assistance at agreed times and pays reduced rent.
  • Host Arrangement: A person, couple, or family can welcome someone with disability into their home, providing support while receiving funding through the participant’s NDIS plan.

Medium Term Accommodation

Medium Term Accommodation provides a temporary home for individuals while they wait to move into their long-term residence or accommodation.

This option is ideal if your permanent supports aren’t yet ready. Typically funded for up to 90 days, MTA is included in your NDIS plan under home and living supports.

At Ardor Care, we offer modern, comfortable homes where you can stay for a few months with all the daily life supports you need.

Our Medium Term Accommodation provides 24/7 assisted living support and plenty of opportunities to explore new hobbies, develop skills, and participate in enjoyable activities—either independently or alongside others. Activities are designed to enhance independence, build capacity, and ensure a safe, engaging, and positive experience. Our dedicated team is committed to creating a supportive home environment so participants leave feeling enriched, confident, and ready for the next chapter.
