High Intensity Supports

Skilled Support for Complex Needs

Some participants require specialised support to safely manage complex health and daily living needs.

As a Registered NDIS Provider, Ardor Care provides High Intensity Supports delivered by appropriately trained and competent workers, based on each participant's individual support needs, plans and requirements.

We understand that safe delivery of complex supports depends on more than completing a task. It requires appropriate planning, worker training and competency, consistency and clear communication between everyone involved in the participant's support.

How Ardor Care Can Support

Depending on the participant's individual needs and support requirements, Ardor Care can provide assistance with a range of high intensity and complex supports, which may include:

  • Complex personal care
  • Complex bowel care
  • Enteral feeding and management
  • Dysphagia and mealtime management
  • Diabetes management
  • Epilepsy and seizure support
  • Urinary catheter support
  • Subcutaneous injections
  • Other complex support requirements within our scope and worker competency

The exact support arrangements are determined according to the participant's individual needs, relevant support plans and assessments, and the training and competency requirements for the workers providing the support.

Where specialised training or competency assessment is required, this is established before the relevant support is delivered.

Our Approach

Every participant's circumstances, routines and support requirements are different.

Our focus is on delivering support safely while respecting each person's dignity, choices, preferences and independence.

We work collaboratively with participants, families, Support Coordinators, allied health professionals and relevant clinical practitioners so that workers understand the participant's individual support requirements and the plans they are expected to follow.

Clear communication, detailed planning, appropriate worker training and consistency are central to the way we approach High Intensity Supports.

Trained and Competent Support Workers

High Intensity Supports require workers to understand the participant's individual needs and safely perform the specific supports they are responsible for.

Ardor Care works to ensure workers receive the participant-specific information, training and competency assessment required for the supports they deliver.

This can include working with relevant health practitioners and the participant's broader support team where required.
