Practical Support for Everyday Living

Everyone's support needs and daily routines are different.

Whether it's assistance with personal care, preparing meals, maintaining routines or more complex support needs, Ardor Care provides practical support to help people live safely, comfortably and with greater independence in their own home.

We take the time to understand how each person prefers to be supported and provide assistance around their individual needs, routines, choices and goals.

How Ardor Care Can Support

Our Support Workers can assist with a range of everyday activities, including:

  • Personal care and daily routines
  • Showering, dressing and grooming
  • Meal preparation and mealtime support
  • Assistance with household tasks as part of everyday support
  • Grocery shopping and everyday errands
  • Medication assistance within the participant's support arrangements
  • Building and maintaining daily living skills
  • Establishing and maintaining routines
  • Preparing for appointments and community activities
  • Support aligned with an existing Behaviour Support Plan
  • High Intensity Supports where required and within Ardor Care's scope

The type and level of support provided is based on the individual and can be adjusted as needs, routines and circumstances change.

Support That Fits Around the Individual

In-home support should fit around the person and their life, rather than expecting the person to fit around the service.

Some participants may need assistance with particular tasks or routines for a few hours each week. Others may require regular support across different parts of their day or have more complex support requirements.

We work with participants, families and the broader support team to understand what support is required and how the participant prefers that support to be delivered.

Our focus is on providing consistent, respectful and reliable support while promoting choice and independence wherever possible.

Supporting More Complex Needs at Home

Ardor Care can also support participants with more complex needs within their home.

Where required, this may include High Intensity Supports delivered by appropriately trained and competent workers, or the implementation of strategies contained within an existing Behaviour Support Plan.

Support arrangements are considered individually, including any participant-specific plans, training or competency requirements.
